Objective: Adolescent suicide represents a major public health challenge and highlights the need for culturally adapted preventive interventions. This study aimed to assess the feasibility of the “Pure Farm” text‑based intervention package designed to support adolescents with suicidal ideation or a history of suicide attempts.
Methods: This descriptive feasibility study was conducted in two phases. The Pure Farm package includes structured therapeutic writing exercises and guided reflection activities intended to support emotional expression, cognitive processing, and coping among at‑risk adolescents. In Phase 1, 11 mental health specialists evaluated the feasibility of the package using the Shalani Feasibility Scale. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, one‑way ANOVA, and Tukey HSD post‑hoc tests. In Phase 2, 18 social workers involved in post‑suicide attempt helpline services assessed feasibility using the 9‑item WHO Feasibility Checklist.
Results: On the Shalani Scale, the overall feasibility of the package was rated as moderate to high (M = 3.30, SD = 0.70). The highest mean scores were observed for acceptability and suitability (3.50) and generalizability (3.47), while the lowest score related to resources and implementation (2.95). ANOVA indicated significant differences among professional groups (F(2,8) = 70.54, p < 0.001), with psychiatrists assigning lower feasibility ratings compared with psychologists and other specialists. In Phase 2, the mean feasibility score based on the WHO checklist was 3.98 (SD = 0.59), and 77.8% of respondents agreed with the overall feasibility of the package.
Conclusion: The Pure Farm intervention was perceived by professionals and social workers as acceptable, culturally relevant, and potentially generalizable. However, the small sample size and reliance on expert self‑report assessments limit generalizability. Further pilot implementation and effectiveness studies with adolescents are recommended to evaluate practical outcomes.
